SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: The Beertender is responsible for interacting with guests and visitors in a manner that enhances the Marble experience by serving craft beer and educating guests while adhering to Marble’s alcohol service policy.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with guests in a manner that creates a welcoming environment for the enjoyment of craft beer and which nurtures an excellent guest experience.
- Deliver a consistently high level of guest service to each guest and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem guests and dealing with them appropriately.
- Assess guests’ needs and beverage preferences and make beer recommendations.
- Check guest’s identification and confirm each guest is of legal drinking age.
- Assess guest behavior to avoid overserving a guest or serving an intoxicated guest.
- Re-stock and replenish bar supplies as well as the reach-in “to go” beer cooler.
- Learn about, understand and be able to explain the beer styles available on draft in the taproom, including describing flavor profiles and ingredients.
- Process guest payments throughout the shift and be able to account for any discrepancies in the final tally of sales.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Marble Brewery Alcohol Policy and attend Marble’s Responsible Alcohol Service seminar at least annually.
- Monitor and maintain all sound and lighting levels to maintain proper ambience.
- Keep all areas of the Pub or Taproom clean, orderly, and well maintained and perform cleaning, opening and closing tasks, or other tasks, as assigned by the Taproom Manager.
- Take on other day to day activities necessary to keep the Pub or Taproom running smoothly and efficiently.
- Work with all levels of management in providing a superior Taproom experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Packaging Assistant is responsible for assisting with both packaging and cellaring operations at the 111 brewery in such a way as to facilitate maximizing production of high-quality craft beer.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely and efficiently assist with packaging beer on the bottling, canning and kegging lines.
- Utilize pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks to safely move beer from the packaging areas to the distribution and warehouse areas of the brewery.
- Participate in shipping and receiving activities at the direction of the Warehouse Lead. Transfer wort and beer in partnership with the cellar and packaging teams.
- Assist with draft system maintenance at the 111 tap room.
- Utilize the Ekos brewery management system to document transfers and packaging of beer.
- Organizing and cleaning packaging areas of the brewery to facilitate a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintain a safe work environment and participate regularly in safety training.
- Utilize the GroupMe app or other designated group communication tool to facilitate efficient communication across the entire brewery team.

The Packaging Assistant will follow the weekly production plan and will communicate constantly with the 111 Production Manager and the Packaging Operators to package the correct beer on time and with high quality. The Packaging Assistant will be able to adapt quickly to changes in production scheduling and will be able to operate multiple types of complex machinery such as bottling and canning equipment, pumps, powered industrial trucks, and other equipment necessary to the production of high quality, packaged craft beer. This job works on a schedule of four 10-hour days which may not be consecutive and which will involve early morning and/or late-night hours, including some weekend work.
REQUIREMENTS: The Packaging Assistant should be able to lift, and be comfortable lifting, 50-pound bags of grain, cases and kegs of beer and boxes of supplies, be proficient in operating powered industrial trucks (automated and manual pallet jacks, forklifts) and in using a hand truck and to lift heavy objects on a regular basis and standing for extended periods.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of the production equipment and facilities at Marble Brewery and will keep necessary equipment maintained and operating in a way that allows for timely production of high-quality craft beer.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the working fleet of equipment and machinery for production and packaging at Marble Brewery. This includes but is not limited to following:
- Brewhouse kettles, pumps, steam systems, and valves
- Canning line and all associated machinery
- Kegging line
- Centrifuge
- Water systems
- Refrigeration equipment and cold spaces
- Pallet wrapper, loading dock, and warehouse equipment
- Organization and inventory of tools and workspace
- Maintain an OSHA safe work environment and participate regularly in safety training.
- Facilitate communication between Production, Warehouse, and Quality Control/Lab teams as pertains to operational status and use of brewing, cellaring and packaging equipment as well as scheduling regular preventative maintenance.
- Document procedures for operations, maintenance of and training on all brewery equipment.
- Create reports on maintenance, repairs, and safety.
- Facilitate and document thorough education on equipment maintenance/repairs for Production staff to utilize equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work with outside vendors/contractors to identify and address issues with the boilers, chillers, air compressor, electrical and plumbing systems and other equipment that needs specialty maintenance.
- Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions

The Facilities Manager must be able to adapt quickly to changes in production scheduling and must be flexible enough to address problems as they arise, even if they happen outside of the Facilities Manager’s working schedule. The Facilities Manager must be able to operate multiple types of complex machinery such as boilers, air compressors, glycol chillers, a commercial brewhouse, heat exchangers, pumps, grain mills, powered industrial trucks, laboratory equipment and other equipment necessary to the production of beer, and must have a working understanding of basic plumbing and electrical concepts.

SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: The Quality Control/Lab Technician is responsible for managing all facets of the Marble Brewery laboratory and the quality control program at the 111 Marble Brewery facility. Inherent in this responsibility is managing the laboratory and its equipment and supplies in such a way as to enable the success of Marble’s quality control program to ensure only the highest quality beer is produced and packaged.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining all yeast cultures through accurate and timely testing procedures designed to detect contamination and viability of the culture.
- Responsible for monitoring all active fermentations and performing quality control tests at various times as is necessary to ensure beer is made to all applicable specifications.
- Using lab equipment to perform microbiological plating as necessary to identify yeast activity and cell count or to identify contamination.
- Taking and tracking readings of dissolved oxygen content in the beer at the various stages of fermentation and packaging.
- Preparing a weekly quality report to be distributed to and reviewed with the brewery management team on a weekly basis.
- Tracking and analyzing quality control data to identify trends and patterns and suggest improvements in brewery processes.
- Regularly communicate to the entire brewery team issues that arise or problems that are discovered so that corrective action can be taken in a timely manner. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and work to increase the production of quality beer.
- Develop new skills and learn new processes as necessary and as technology is developed or introduced that will enable more accurate quality control in the beer making process (e.g., statistical process control; new testing machinery or processes).

WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a self-directed position that requires the employee to efficiently accomplish the primary objectives independently and with very little day-to-day supervision. The Quality Control/Lab Technician will often work alone but will sometimes work on teams to understand issues, troubleshoot problems and learn new techniques and processes related to producing quality craft beer. This job does require set hours and days and the work week will overlap with other Quality Control/Lab Technicians to ensure continuity throughout the production week.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Quality Control/Lab Technician should be able to and be comfortable with climbing ladders and stairs, lifting and carrying containers of beer or chemicals, using a microscope, working around chemicals, using a hand truck and lifting heavy objects on a regular basis and standing for extended periods doing repetitive tasks such as distilling or sampling.
