Marble Brewery is Seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician to join the quality control team. Qualified candidates should have relevant brewery laboratory skills and experience, be able to follow directions, and communicate well and work with other team members. Experience with microbiological techniques and chemistry are required.
The QC Technician will assist with or perform testing and documentation required to track all indicators of beer quality. Tasks may include validation of cleaning procedures through swabbing and plating, sample distillation, sample filtration, chemical extraction, monitoring dissolved oxygen levels in finished and packaged beer, preparing weekly reports, performing forced fermentations, selective media plating, testing for acetic acid bacteria, lactic acid bacteria and wild yeast, regular use and record keeping of ATP meter results; and, equipment maintenance and data entry. Candidates should be comfortable lifting at least 30 pounds, be able to work more than 8 hours a day and be able to work in loud production/ warehouse environments with minimal temperature control. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Marble is seeking a quality control lab technician at their flagship brewery near downtown Albuquerque, NM.
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for the day to day implementation of Marble’s quality control program. Duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining yeast cultures, monitoring active fermentations, performing various chemical tests, microbiological plating, and tracking the dissolved oxygen content at various stages of the brewing process. The Quality Control Technician’s activities will be summarized in a quality report and distributed to the management team on a weekly basis. Quality data should be analyzed to identify trends and patterns. The Quality Control Technician must communicate actively with the rest of the team, exhibit problem-solving skills, and work to increase production of quality beer.
